Ezee Glider™ Centralizer Mechanical Properties

Ezee-Glider™ Mechanical Properties

  • The flow-by properties are also matching or exceeding the alternatives.
  • Important strength properties are fully competitive (on a load test of a 5 ½” x 8 ¼” unit it took 30 MT unconfined axial load to yield)
  • Wear properties are fully competitive or better than aluminium, zinc or steel units (ball mill test performed showed material loss more than 15 times less than steel). In fact this polymer is used as premium replacement material for plain metal bearings due to it’s low wear rate.
  • The weight is negligible (2.3 kg for 5 1/2” x 8 ¼”) in comparison to the alternatives.
  • Temperature durability is set to minimum of 5000 hours at 175°C. Short term use limit is higher, typically 4 to 5 days at 230°C.
  • Friction factor tends to reduce with increased load and temperature - deeper and warmer well applications benefit from reduced friction factor.
  • Very little difference between static and dynamic friction - no excessive start-up torque.
  • Stop collars are made from high quality seamless steel tubing material, and are chamfered at leading edge for maximum performance.
  • Blade melon shape reduces risk of differential sticking as well as risk of hanging up on restrictions or sharp edges.
